We are down to the wire! Early voting is now closed! There's just one more opportunity to vote on November 4. This election is key and will determine the future of your hometown. I was just thinking about how each election is a turning point, so you must choose carefully. Here are some of the things to know before you vote.
Where to vote:
On November 4, you will cast your vote at your designated precinct location. Visit VoteIdaho.gov to discover your precinct and more. Voting hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM.
What are my choices:
To decide who to vote for, find your sample ballot at VoteIdaho.gov to identify the candidates you have to choose from to research. Although most precincts have only a few positions on each ballot, it's crucial to make every effort to vote.
What do they stand for:
The Kootenai County Republicans have a handy sample ballot and voter guide available to give you information from the candidates themselves and a well thought out sample ballot for your convenience. I like to highlight mine before I go to the polls: https://www.kootenaigop.org/voter-guide
Who are your candidates aligned with:
One way to research your candidates is to look at the Sunshine Report. This is a valuable tool on the Secretary of State website to show who has financed each candiate so you can see if your values align. If you look at the printed campaign literature or signs there should be a "Paid for By" declaration that you can look up and find out more about who donated and how much. This just adds another layer to your research.
Now you can go and vote with confidence in your choices!
Thank you so much for taking the time to vote in this pivotal election.
Much love, Sandy White
