This special HURA meeting is apparently the 3rd meeting planning for the new "Civic Campus." Although HURA has been pondering the idea of a community center for as far as I can remember, it has now come to the forefront. With the acquisition and demolition of the Owl Cafe behind them, they can move forward more easily. I was sad to see the Owl Cafe go because I thought it would make a great museum for the City of Hayden. I felt like the location and age of the building would have been ideal.

In this special meeting, I anticipate that HURA will explain the total cost of this project, the expense to taxpayers for maintenance, and the funds HURA will have left for improvements to Government Way. Please attend if possible. Once more, the HURA board has indicated that this event won't be video recorded. For transparency and to assist those unable to attend at the last moment, I wish it would be recorded and uploaded to their YouTube channel.
