I recently spoke with someone new to my precinct who was unfamiliar with what a precinct is. After explaining it to her, I decided to write a post to clarify a few things for you as well. Currently, Kootenai County is segmented into 74 distinct precincts. Each precinct elects one committeeman for both the Republican and Democratic parties every two years.
