Notice: Public Hearing for the sale of ±4.855 acres in Hayden

The City of Hayden is selling an approximately 5-acre parcel zoned for light-industrial use, located on Dakota Street near the airport. This sale will help finance the purchase of a different parcel also in Hayden. I believe that the new facility will be beneficial to the City of Hayden for many years to come and that selling the unused property will help pay for it. See the attached maps for more specifics.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Hayden City Council will hold a public hearing on May 13, 2025, at 5:00 pm at Hayden City Hall, to hear comments from the public regarding the pending sale of ±4.855 acres of land located along Dakota Street. The property can be more particularly described as Hayden Lake Irrigation Tracks Amended Tax #20740, located within Section 15, Township 51N, Range04W. The City Council at their February 25, 2025, regular meeting declared the property underutilized and not used for public purpose and at the April 8, 2025, regular city council meeting made a motion to dispose of the property by public sale with a minimum value amount of $1,480,000 for a total parcel sale price.

The public hearing will be held in Council Chambers located at 8930 N. Government Way, Hayden Idaho on May 13, 2025, at 5:00pm. Written comments may be sent to clerk@haydenid.gov and can be submitted no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, May 5th. The public is encouraged to attend and provide comment relating to the dispersal of the public land. Any member of the public desiring or needing assistance to participate in the public hearing are encouraged to request those accommodation to the City Clerk within 24 hours of the hearing.
